So the Summer is over (did it start) and the nights are drawing in. Now is the time to prepare your minibus for winter. Here are our top tips at CVM World to look after your minibus and passengers.

Tyres 🛞
Maintaining the correct tyre pressure on your minibus is essential for safety, fuel efficiency and preservation of your tyres.

Check the tyre tread depth to maximise road holding and grip. The tread is designed to displace water and ensure your minibus handles predictably.

Fluids 🫗
Engine oil, coolant, ad blue, brake fluid and power steering fluid are all important – but as winter approaches make sure you have plenty of screenwash (and the right mixture to avoid freezing). We recommend carrying an extra bottle of premixed screenwash on long journeys.

Lights 💡
Check all your lights are working as the nights draw in, especially headlights, brake lights and hazard warning.

Exterior Cleaning 🧽
Treat your minibus to a wax for added protection against salt, grit and the elements.

Battery 🪫
An old battery may worsen in cold weather. If your battery is older than 5 years or frequently goes on short journeys it may be due replacing or a charge. We recommend keeping a set of jump leads just in case.

First Aid & Safety 🦺
Should the worst happen and your minibus is in an accident, breaks down or the weather just stops you moving forward, be prepared. CVM World can supply first aid kits and high-vis jackets, plus thermal foil blankets taking up no space.

It goes without saying, make sure your minibus has been serviced correctly, makes no unusual noises or operates in a strange manner. If it does, we advise taking it to your local dealer or visiting CVM World for a check up.
